much of nothing

today we picked up mow...helped hand outs at licking valley, handed in our americorps paper work and stuff from the last group and planned for next week.

We willed a fed ex truck to the farm that dropped off some mysterious school supplies, we shared a hearty dinner of hamburger helped, frostbitten french fries and apple crisp..yum!
We also went to mass and then went to wild woman's to watch the rest of survivor. It was fun overall...just another day at the farm

Taking mow to the vet

This morning we took mow to the vet in Portsmouth...well she went to the bathroom in her carry on multiple times during the trip...and I had the lucky seat right next to her....but we got in some good laughs along the way as we had to stop and clean her out etc etc

We then hung out at a cool coffee shop in town, then drove home for some r&r ...saving up our energy for the two groups in a row in the upcoming weeks

I had to drop something off at the library so I drove into town alone...I for the first time noticed fall was really here..all over the colors were changing...it was so beautiful...a perfect drive, I couldve stayed there in that moment forever.... God is good....

When I returned home, the weather motivated me to ggo for a run...it was nice...but I am out of shape! Then some beautiful wild flowers on my way back inspired me to try some crushed flower art...something people at church told me about...and it worked...so cool!

So, I do feel rested but overall it has been a busy day.
Thanks for all the love and support so far,
I am pretty lucky
loving this place....and also missing NY today.... but as a whole what a good day

"off week"

Today is my first day off in a while...it was needed..there is so much to take in and process and it is good to have time in between group to allow ourselves to be rejuvenated...this way we can give our best to each group that comes through...so today I crafted outside for a few hours, and have been cleaning and relaxing...now that it is quiet once again...feeling a little homesick...which I guess is normal...and at the same time happy to be here...

I would like to extend a thanks also from those in St. Dennis's youth group...thanks for collecting the school supplies...

Also, here are som pics of the farm managers and Corey, Jamies Boyfriend...hanging in the staff house this weekend

Saying Goodbye to the Hoban group

Wow, what a great week this has been! I am so lucky to have been apart of it...when weeks that are not as easy/ as fun as this one....I hope I remember to look back and smile at the memories...

A great week in many ways...an amazing group of people came through here this week...they had a good sense of humor...and we also enjoyed very good conversation....they were not afraid of anything...so everything we asked of them...was done well... many friendships were made in the process, it was sad to say goodbye... they all have such bright futures! I am now relaxed...thinking and being thankful for a great week, the blessing of friendships and the opportunity given to me here...God is good.

Thanks to all who were apart of this week....

Trying to be a sponge

Today I was reminded of the idea that we are made up of little pieces of everyone we have ever met...Then I thought in this place where I have exposure to so many different people, the best thing I can do is to be a sponge..take it all in and grow...if I can take a piece of everyone I meet here, that will be a blessing..... So I prayed...Lord help me to be a sponge

It has been another good week...this group is so fun and supportive...I have had more than my fair share of laughs this week...we did many good works and enjoyed good company...thanks for the memories
